Travel Logo

TRAVEL LOGO

Artist Statement:

This logo was created to exemplify my travels and study abroad, as well my environmental passions and years of veganism. The plane leaving the world shows my love for travel and always wanting to "take off" to a new destination. As the plane is leaving the earth, my passions as well as yearning to explore other cultures can be understood.
My ideas are represented through this logo as the meaning, to some extent, can be easily understood as it is fairly simple and not too ambiguous. It is apparent that there is a plane taking off from the world, which is often seen as a general symbol for travel and a sense of "wanderlust." The color choice allows for there to be a visually appealing contrast to create a more successful overall composition. Another technical aspect that adds to the overall composition is how the line connected to the plane seamlessly leaves the earth.
To conclude, when crafting my logo I had the intentions of representing some of the biggest aspects of my life through a clear and simple logo. The overall composition can be understood through the color choices and the way in which I designed the plane leaving the world. My aim was to use simplicity to represent myself but still highlight what I deem the most important aspects of myself as an individual.

FINAL PORTFOLIO

FMX210 FINAL PORTFOLIO ARTIST STATEMENT:         FMX210 has been a complex yet rewarding class over this past fall semester. This course has taught me the logistics of countless Adobe programs which have bettered my digital media skills. Attached is my portfolio which includes each final project from each program we worked with. My portfolio is themed as red and black with the font Mercurius MT std bold to better the overall composition. Each page is a different project and is done in chronological order from the first unit through the last. I aimed to use InDesign to successfully create a visually appealing portfolio while displaying each of my projects on the consecutive pages, along with a table of contents and an about me page.          My portfolio is crafted in such a way that is visually appealing through the use of color choices, creative fonts, and a simple approach to highlight each project. The theme I chose to create wa...
